Inside dis event, dem officially launch di Community Protection Committee, wey be group of people for di community wey dey helep address any matter wey consign violence against women and other wahala wey dey di community.
Franca Aide, wey be di project coordinator and Protection officer for Vaccine Network for disease control, talk say dem do dis event sake of tori wey dem don hear about gender-based violence for Iddo community and to take helep reduce di health problem wey e dey cause women..
“Dis event na to torchlight di community about gender-based violence and how di community fit helep stop am, especially as e dey affect women,” Ms. Aide talk.
She talk say e dey important make organizations like their own (Vaccine Network for Disease Control) and communities waka hand in hand to take solve plenty problems wey dey affect communities, and na cos of dat naim make dem setup of Community Protection Committee.
