The Urban Primary Healthcare Centre in Okposi, Ohaozara suffered many woes before the intervention of the MakeOurHospitalWork and TalkHealth9ja Teams.
In addition to not having a standard facility, the primary health centre could not boast of toilets, good water supply or even light.
The MakeOurHospitalWork and TalkHealth9ja Teams in their routine sensitization campaign powered by the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) sponsored Radio show in Ebonyi tagged TalkHealth 9ja Radio Show discovered this health centre and took their woes personal.
The team took special their situation and brought it to light and ears of every capable and illustrious hand which sparked lots of changes.
3 months later, a visit by the teams led by Dr. Laz Ude saw tangible changes in the health centre.
The Ohaozara local government provided a functional borehole while building a block of 3 new toilets, shower inclusive.
Solar panels were also set up to provide the facility with efficient and steady power supply.
A gift of customized Make Our Hospital Work hand washing bucket with stand and examination couch was presented by the Head Coordinator, Make Our Hospital Work Campaign, Dr. Laz Ude.
Work is still going on to make the facility standard and conducive for both health workers and patients.
This was made possible by the Make Our Hospital Work campaign in partnership with OSIWA and presented by Talkhealth9ja Media vigorously carried out in the community.
