Awojide yan say investment for nurses and midwives na better one wey go bring value because na say investment no dey well for nurses dey make dem dey run japa.
He come point out wetin UN High-Level Commission on Health Employment and Economic Growth Report tok say investment wey dem make for health and social sectors dey triple healthcare betterness and e dey help economic growth, come still promote health security.
He yan say nurses dey always overwork and dem no dey value dem or pay dem well and na why most of dem dey japa as from 2019 to Middle of 2022, more than 4,460 nurses don japa from Naija to UK. Dis na 68.4 percent increase from 2,790 for March 2017 to 7,256 for March 2022.
Awojide reveal say things wey fit make dem stay na things like incentives when dey become nurse, continuous and specialised training, low-interest loans for housing, and even tax incentives.
