Di World Health Organisation don yan say dem dey record more than 1.1 million new cases for cancer every year for Africa and up to 700,000 deaths wey come from cancer every year.

Di country represent for WHO, Dr. Walter Mulombo yan say rate to survive di disease for Africa dey for less than 20 percent for African countries while e be 80 percent for countries wey don develop.

Him tok say Africa get only 3 percent of cancer treatment wey dey di world and radiotherapy just dey for 22 countries for di sub-Saharan Africa and naim be di reason why e dey hard to survive di disease.

WHO reveal say dem dey support actions from countries so dem go fit close di gap wey dey and di actions na di Cervical Cancer Elimination Initiative, the Global Breast Cancer Initiative, and the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancers and plenty others.
