Di ministry yan say for August 15, 2022, e been get report say plenty cases for sharp sharp diarrhoea wey dem dey suspect dey for di LGAs and dem tok say dem don already dey informate people how dem go carry good hygiene and World Health Organisation stand for dia back gidigba.
Di ministry also advise say make dem dey add chlorine to water wey no pure and make partners collabo to build public latrines and setup boreholes.
Di report wey dem drop na: “Upsurge of acute watery diarrhoea were reported from 2 LGAs (Guyuk and Shelleng) on 15th August 2022.
“Samples were screened with nine Rapid Diagnostic Test positives and two Polymerase Chain Reaction confirmed positive.
“Hence, Adamawa State is currently experiencing an outbreak of Cholera in 2 LGAs with a total of 104 suspected cases as of 4th September 2022.
“One hundred and four (104) suspected cases have been line-listed from the two LGAs with 2 deaths.
“The total number of cases reported as of 4th September 2022 stands at 104 suspected cases with 2 deaths (CFR=1.9%); Guyuk reported 37 cases with 1 death (CFR=2.7%), Shelleng reported 67 cases with 1 death (CFR=1.5%).”
