Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist, Dr. Oyeleye Bello don reveal say people wey dey always dey close to air pollution dey at risk to get different disease like hypertension, lung cancer, and renal failure.
Bello wey dey work for di University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, yan say air pollution dey very dangerous because e dey affect almost every system for di body like di respiratory system, cardiovascular system, neurological system, skin, and reproductive system.
She also point out say air pollution dey suppress immune system and e dey open di body to disease wey normally e suppose fight like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, Emphysema. E fit also make di body vulnerable to lung cancer.
She continue say e fit still lead to heart disease because e dey affect how di heart dey beat and lead to high blood pressure. E fit also follow cause Parkinson’s, cognitive decline.
Bello still add say air pollution get negative effect for children as e dey cause low birth weight for babies if di mama dey exposed to am when she get belle.
She still point out say some studies don link air pollution to autism and na because of lead wey dey cause brain retardation when e dey plenty.
Di ENT specialist add say when lead plenty for di renal system, e dey cause renal failure and e go come affect di liver. For di eyes, e go cause dry eyes and retinopathy.
E go still lead to cancer. Bello say e dey impotankpa for people to know say air pollution dey very dangerous, make dem no dey burn waste and make government control activities wey dey cause air pollution.
