Di oga Minister of State for Health, Joseph Ekumankama been yan dis one for Wednesday inside Abuja when dem do di 20th African Traditional Medicine Day and dia theme na ‘Two decades of African Traditional Medicine Day towards achieving universal health coverage in Africa.’
Ekumankama come open up say dem dey see better progress for traditional medicine and e dey help dem reach universal health coverage.
He also point out say di Federal Ministry for Health dey follow advice wey World Health Organisation give make dem use other types of medicine like Orthodox, Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine, make dem fit reach di universal health coverage especially for local places so dem go fit give dem better, safe health care and even quality herbal medicine.
Di Madam wey be Head of TCAM department for di Federal Ministry of Health, Pharm. Zainab Shariff tok say traditional medicine go make health care strong and e pain am say many people no dey accept TM especially all di new age doctors.
