We country naija don record 9 new Lassa fever infection and 3 people wey don kpai between 8 – 14th August 2022.
Di Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) tok this one for di latest situation report wey dem release on the disease and dey say dem get 178 cases wey dem dey suspect for the same week.
In total, NCDC point out say na 168 people don kpai for 2022 and dị percentage of fatality wey dem dey call Case Fatality Rate (CFR) don reduce from 23.1 percent for 2021 to 18 percent for di same period in 2022.
As the total number of people wey get this Lassa fever for 2022 for naija be 889, di number of people wey dem dey suspect say dem get am don reach 6,304.
Di report show say Ondo, Edo and Bauchi States get 70 per cent of all di cases wey dem don confam. And Ondo state get 31 percent, Edo get 26 percent and Bauchi come get 13 percent of all the infections dem don confam.
NCDC still come tok say di virus no affect any body wey dey work for health.
