As obodo world dey mark #WorldCancerDay today, one NGO wey dey do plenty work to prevent cancer inside obodo Naija, Project Pink Blue and dem supporters bin gather more than 3000 people inside Abuja to waka against cancer. The 5km waka bin start from Transcorp Hilton Hotel with pikins, young people, mama and papa dem chanting “Nigeria…choke cancer” “I am and I will”.
As dem dey waka, dem carry papers with different messages on how to take prevent cancer. One message tal say cancer no be death sentence and say early finding and early treatment with better medicine dey save lives. Some of them wey we follow talk yan say government no dey put enough money on top bodi-mata. Dem say Naija need more action against cancer and not plenty talk talk every time.
Ogbonge people wey follow do the waka include the First Lady of Kebbi State, Dr Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, Hon. Ossai Nicholas Ossai from House of Representatives, Emeka Nwagboso wey be Acting Oga for Project Pink Blue, Dr Laz Ude Eze wey be oga for Pink Oak Cancer Trust, the top Ogas for Transcorp Hotel, Ogas for different NGOs, plus plenty Abuja comedians and celebrities.
