As obodo world dey prepare to mark the World Cancer Day on 4th February, Mrs Veronica Okorafor – a petty trader wey survive breast cancer don talk say her mind dey ginger to educate other women about cancer. She talk this one when she follow our tori people dey talk recently.
According by Mrs Okorafor, she notice her breast cancer in 2012, she do some treatment but it came back. She come treat am again with the help of her husband, well wishers and NGOs like St Cyril Cancer Treatment Foundation and the Pink Oak Cancer Trust wey sponsor her radiotherapy in 2019. She say she dey happy to be alive and wan make women in her community and beyond learn from her experience. She hails from Isinkwo Mgbom community in Okposi, Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi State.
Our torchlightment show say the community dey plan to support her plan and carry out community-wide cancer awareness in February 2020.
