The National Primary Health Care Development Agency( NPHCDA), say immunization na the foundation of Primary Health Care (PHC) system for Naija.
Dr. Faisal Shuaib, the Executive Director NPHCDA talk this thing for Interagency Coordination Committee (ICC) to review Naija Strategy on Immunization and Primary Health Care System Strengthening (NSIPSS) on Tuesday inside Abuja.
Shuaib say, immunization dey necessary to trace PHC performance, and routine immunization dey necessary to fight against any disease outbreak.
According to Shuaib, NPHCDA dey work with the Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for prevention and response to outbreaks of Vaccine Preventable Diseases.
NCDC sev dey work with GAVI to improve supply chain of measles, yellow fever and rubella test kits, expand diagnostics capacity for measles, yellow fever and rubella for network laboratory.
Also, them dey work to build capacity of surveillance officers inside states and to expand sentinel sites for Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS).
