As the University College Hospital, Ibadan mark their 62nd founder’s day on Tuesday, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye donate dialysis machine worth N10m to help patients with kidney problems across the country. Pastor Adeboye, together top management of UCH led by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Abiodun Otegbayo say the donation dey necessary because kidney dey play important role for the life of human being.
Adeboye say when him been dey young, people no dey travel abroad for treatment, because them believe say, once you come UCH, you go dey alright. Him rejoice with patients say we get one machine on ground and we go get another two by the end of this year. Say him promised to do more because kidney dey vital to human existence, because of the challenges wey people wey dey live with kidney problems dey face.
The Chief Medical Director of UCH, Prof. Abiodun Otegbayo beg well-meaning Nigerians to donate generously for the development of the hospital. Otegbayo say na money be the greatest challenge wey the hospital dey face. The rest of the challenges na; payment of huge amount of money for the supply of electricity, buying diesel for generators, lack of adequate equipment, problem of water supply, training of staff and absence of good infrastructure among others. UCH dey get plenty patients with primary and secondary healthcare challenges, wey no they make them focus on their main purpose, wey be tertiary healthcare.
