Mr. Zion Abba, the Founder of the NGO, talk this thing for the opening of the two-day training wey them organize for health correspondents inside Abuja. According to Abba, them don receive reports about suicide, mental disorders and many things about mental health wey don affect a lot of people wey suppose dey productive for we country. Him talk say the media, traditional leaders, religious leaders, teachers, and road transport workers as the stakeholders, go fit help change the tori.
Him say stakeholders’ talk, go help push the government to make policy wey go guide mental issues. We don hear so many tori about mental health, drug use, abuse, dependency, suicide and care, wey don affect so many people for we country.
The European Union (EU) and the United Nation Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) say e make sense to increase the awareness, to do sensitization about drug use, dependency, drug prevention, treatment, and care. Abba come say, him believe say after the sensitization and ginger by stakeholders, our leaders go do something about mental health for Naija.
