The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) talk say as them dey do routine monitoring operations, they see dead rats, cockroaches and other rodents for one of the bread factories inside Abuja. Them say some bakers dey use unclean water, cancer-causing agents and other bread improver substances, especially potassium bromate, in order to maximize e profit.
NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, represented by NAFDAC FCT Director Clementina Anyakora , talk this thing for the sensitization workshop for bread bakers inside Abuja, say the agency don ginger monitoring system to make sure say hygiene standards dey maintained by bakers and people wey dey make things wey we dey chop.
After bakers get certificate, them no dey care anymore. Them no dey show commitment to NAFDAC basic hygiene standards.
For inside one baker store, them see dead rats, rat shit, cockroaches and yama-yama things. Some other ones, the whole bakery just dirty anyhow. Some sev still dey use potassium bromate, wey be cancer-causing agent, and other bread improver substances wey fit make guy man sick.
NAFDAC go soon take action and possibly make public the outcome of recent laboratory tests wey them carryout for over 500 bakeries inside Abuja, FCT.
