The Anambra Government say them don put aside N100 million for Malaria control and elimination inside the state.
Dr Vincent Okpala, the State Commissioner for Health, talk this thing on Thursday for Awka, say we need to increase domestic financing to drive malaria control and elimination. Okpala say the amount wey them arrange for 2019 no do to address malaria burden inside the state.
Na why them increase the budget to N100 million to make sure say Anambra dey free of malaria. Him say, if them agree for N6.9 billion budget for health inside the 2020 budget proposal, body-matta care system inside the state go tanda well.
Analysis of the state budget for some health programmes for 2020 show say them go spend N100 million ontop HIV/AIDS control programme, N400 million to repair and re-equip General Hospitals and N60 million for the construction and equipment of the Anambra State Centre for Disease Control wey them go build for Achalla, N50 million na for construction of Illicit Drug Rehabilitation Centre, N50 million for Family Planning programmes and N20 million for Zero Hepatitis programme.
