United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF talk say Naija need 4.4 Billion Naira to treat 258,950 boys and girls wey dey suffer from malnutrition for Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states. Them need this money to buy 229,636 cartons of Ready to Use Therapeutic Food, RUTF, for Severe Acute Malnutrition, SAM, treatment, inside 2020.
RUTF na specialized foods product wey them make for the treatment of children wey dey suffer from malnutrition. Them talk say, the insecurity sev dey affect the rate of Malnutrition because many people dey come into their IDP camps everyday, so food shortage sev dey. So even the money wey them plan for fit no dey enough for this fight.
