The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) don advise Nigerians make them stop to dey chop non-iodine salt, say “e no good for body.”
Dr. Abubakar Jimoh, the Director of Public Affairs for the agency naim give the advice for the interview with NAN for inside Abuja on Tuesday. Him talk say the rumour say people wey dey rural communities still dey chop local salt, wey them no process. People wey dey chop locally made salts fit get goiter and other yama-yama diseases for person body, say make Naija people do away from local salt. According to the director, areas dey wey them still dey sell this salt for Naija, especially for Nasarawa state.
Him con say, them don beg people for Nasarawa to stop to dey chop that salt, but them no gree.
